Grand Knight’s Message
Greetings Knights and ladies. Summer is winding down, school will be starting soon, and our council will be starting to get busy again. At the last membership meeting, I presented a check of $3105.33 to Dianne Peters of ARC Great Rivers. This was the income minus the cost of Tootsie Rolls for the Tootsie Roll Drive that was held two weekends in April
The council has access to a wheelchair that was donated by Helen Van Wagner. Her husband Paul, a member of the council for many years, used it for a few months. I would like to thank her for the donation.
The only activity in July was the Golf Outing on July 30th. Thanks to Vern Shereck for chairing this event. Also, many thanks to Jay and Sue Weidell for hosting, preparing the food and beverages for the party after golf. The winning team was Gladys Resler,Tom Fluegel, John Westin and Bonnie Ruegimer.
In closing, keep in mind membership recruitment. Talk to a neighbor, friend, or family member about the joining the Knights. There will be 1st degree initiations coming up in October and November. If anyone needs help in recruitment, please call the membership chairman Garry Hallman or me.
