Grand Knights Message

Greetings Knights and Ladies. Last month the council with help from many parishioners worked the Grill at St. Timothy’s Carnival. We sold 200 turkey legs, some 500 pork chops, hamburgers, brats, hot dogs and French fries. The new fryer that the council bought worked excellent. The proceeds from the grill go to the parish for their various programs. I would like to thank shift chairman, knights and ladies who helped over the weekend. Many thanks also to the cleanup crew Monday morning who cleaned the grills and fryer. Through out the weekend we had a good group helping. The carnival did well despite the small turnout Sunday due to a steady drizzle.

The K.C. men’s fishing trip went well. The guys tried out a different resort with many fish caught and a good time was had. Wayne Bromen won the biggest fish contest with a 5lb 2oz Walleye. Doug Hieder won the cribbage tournament.

Going into October the 2nd Sunday Breakfast will be October 8 th. We will be having the fall steak fry October 18 th. Come and join us for a cook your own steak and fixings.

In closing if anyone knows of a membership prospect please let me know. There will be a couple of 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd degree installation ceremonies in October in the northern suburbs.

Yours in Christ,

Dick Dols
Grand Knight

Steak Fry

Our next steak fry in October 18 th. It seems like yesterday that we had our last steak fry. It’s a chance to say hi to good friends and say goodbye to some for the winter, you know who you are. I’m excited about this event this year as it is my first to organize. I thought I’d try the addition of twice-baked potatoes with my special mushroom sauce. I’m looking forward to a great crowd. The price is $7.00 per person. Social begins at 6:00 pm with the steaks getting on the grill about 6:30 pm. Please RSVP by October 15 th to Bill Ohland. See you on the 18 th.

2 nd Sunday Breakfast

The first one will be held October 8 th at St. Tim’s Hospitality Center. Shifts are 7 to 10:30am and 10:30 to 2pm. Please call Garry Hallmann to let him know of your interest to work and the shift you can work. The late shift always needs help. Proceeds will be earmarked towards St. Tim’s Roof Fund.
