Grand Knights Message
Wow, some kind of weather we are having. Greetings from this side of town. Well, with April on its way out and May around the corner, that means I have two more months of being Grand Knight. It has been great to work with such an elite group of people such as yourselves. Remember we are in the knights to help serve in charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. Let's not push or shove, let's work together, side by side. As you read this the Tootsie Roll Drive will more likely be over with. I want to thank all who helped out. Good job by all. We had a big group at the steak fry, a good time was had by all.
This month we pray for Jane Nieland who is in the hospital, we also pray for Byron Bauer who has a tumor. For Dave van Den Broeke who has cancer and for Al Pierskalla who has alzheimers. For these people and all the many others, we keep you in our prayers.

Grand Knight
It's getting close to the end of our Knights of Columbus fiscal year and the Year End Dinner is quickly approaching. This is a really fun way to end the year and re-cap all that we have done over the past year. You are all invited and I would personally like to see all of you there. It's easy, but you have to let me know if you will be attending by calling me. Don't hesitate and miss out on this Great Dinner. I will see all of you there.
Trustee,
Al Loerzel
This is our last meeting for the year and I thank you for making my 3rd year as President successful and pleasant. I am grateful for your time, talents, and prayers; and I look forward to serving as your Trustee next year.
Congratulations to next year's officers.

The Ladies State Convention was held in St. Cloud at the end of April. We had 5 ladies who attended. We donated money to the Pennies for Semanarians, Student Loan Fund, Jim Campbell Fund, and Pro Life. I was elected as the State Vice President. Anita loerzel completed the scrapbook and it was proudly displayed during the convention.
The Fish Fry Bake Sales went very well this year. This is our major fund-raiser and many blessings and thanks for all those who provided baked goodies. Thanks to Roberta Hacker & Margo Arett for chairing the sales.
"Ladies Night Out" will be during the next meeting, May 15th, 2002, 6:30 PM at Tasty Pizza (Hwy 65 across from Blainebrook). Each member will receive $5 toward the meal ordered from the menu. If you haven't done so, contact Jan Dols to sign up.
Happy Mother's Day. Have a safe and blessed summer.
Jean Ackermann
President
