Grand Knights Message
Greetings Knights and ladies. Another council year has come and gone. I want to thank all the Knights and ladies for their help and support this past year.
In May I attended the 104 th state convention in Rochester with our financial secretary Jim Ackermann. Saturday morning started with a memorial mass for deceased members. After the mass, were many meetings. Reports of committees took up most of the day. The election of state officers was the last thing on the agenda. After adjournment, we attended a banquet with our wives. There were district and state hospitality rooms set up. These rooms give everyone a chance to mingle with delegates from other councils. On Sunday morning we listened to more reports and State Ladies Auxiliary President Jean Ackermann presented a slide show of the past year. The presentation was followed by awards. Our council received an award in Certificate of Directors, which was received for achievements in programs and membership. The convention closed about 11:00 am with the celebration of mass. I had a good time and thank you for sending us there to represent our council.
The new council year begins July 1 st with many of the same activities and fundraisers. We are adding one additional social event this year, a trip to a Minnesota Twins game. We will be attending Family Night at the Dome in August. We have not had a bus trip to see the Twins play for awhile, so I hope we can fill up a bus.

We pray for Pat Chuinard who is recovering from shoulder surgery June 14 th.
We pray for the daughter of Bob Cuddigan who is having some health concerns.
We pray for these people and for all those members of our council who need our prayers.
We pray for our families and for all those we care about.

Families going to the Mayo Clinic that need housing while they are there or have questions may call James Arendt 507-289-2416, a fellow Knight who may be of help.
Officers and membership meetings start at 7:30and are held in the Hospitality Center. A light lunch follows the membership meeting. The July 6th officers meeting is the planning meeting for the upcoming year.
Articles for the Guidepost are due the 3 rd Wednesday of each month.
