Grand Knights Message
Greetings Knights and ladies. I hope everyone had an enjoyable, healthy, and blessed Christmas. I was out of town when the Seniors Christmas party was held, but I understand everything went well with a good meal, entertainment and Santa on schedule. Many thanks to Ken Resler for chairing this event and for everyone who donated turkeys, deboned turkeys, setup, served food and cleanup. Some 300 senior citizens were in attendance.
The 2nd Sunday Breakfast December 12 had small crowds due to strong cold winds that day and the Christmas season. Thanks to all that came to help out that day.
I will keep my article short, but Knights and ladies please read the three articles in the Guidepost about fundraisers that will be held in January. Your help will be needed.
Have a Happy New Year

Get well wishes were sent to Bert and Dorthy Albers. Both have had recent surgeries. Bert also has a blood clot located behind his knee.
We also pray for Bob Cuddigan who recently had surgery as an out patient. For Vern Shereck who had shoulder surgery on the 16 th and for Ginny Hallman who had laser surgery on December 21 st.
Senior Party Wrap Up
Well once again the Senior Citizen Christmas Party was a success. I would like to thank all of you who helped make this event happen. We fed around three hundred seniors this year. The entertainment group from Saint Alphonsus was great again. A special thank you to the Bakery manager at Cub Foods North in Blaine. Not only did she provide us with rolls at a low cost, she also donated some of her time along with her daughter. Thank you to Diane for her help in the Kitchen. She did a wonderful job for her first year.
Concertina Party
The first council major fundraiser for the year 2005 will be the 27 th concertina party on January 22 nd.
Volunteer workers will be needed in the kitchen, door guards, setting up the dance floor and rounding up food for the kitchen. I will coordinate the workers. Please call me if you wish to work a particular job.
If you can gather up door prizes by donating them or getting them from merchants please let me know.
