Grand Knight’s Message
What is Teamwork? It is the combined action of a group of people, being effective and efficient. We all work together at each of our events to help in making them a success. Although this year when it comes down those as leaders and chairing an event I am a little disappointed. To be more specific I am talking about our Breakfasts and Fish Fries. Yes, some our good help is no longer with us; but this shouldn’t mean we start quitting among ourselves as role models for our council. As I am very grateful that someone is willing to chair 3 breakfasts, It works 10x better when there is a different chairmen for each one. This can also work for the Fish Fries maybe a rotating chairmen schedule of 3 people. Some of you individuals have chaired breakfasts in the past and did a wonderful job, so why didn’t you step up this year? Taking the factors of the above stated, if this continues on; our team will start to be the “New England Patriots” wannabes. Now, I want this team to be that “Super Bowl” winning team that everyone wants to be a part of. And maybe we need to think outside the box a little bit like do more breakfasts without eggs. It doesn’t need to be fancy. I’m asking everyone to really think about it and let me know what your thoughts are. This will be a discussion in May at Officers meeting and anyone is welcome to share their thoughts.

Now to see if you are actually reading this, I want to see who is prepared to ask someone to join. So, between now and June; at random I will check to see if you have either a Form 100 or Join Us Card on you. I am going to do 6 times or more at our General Meetings, Breakfasts, & Fish Fries. For each time you have one, you will get 5 chances in a separate drawing for a $25 gift card.

After a week delay because of weather the Ladies meeting was held, opening with prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. Roberta read the minutes from the December meeting and Sandy read the Treasurer’s report. Jean was on winter vacation so I took over.
We had nomination of officers. The slate is as follows: Jean Ackermann; President, Vice President; Open, Secretary, Roberta Hacker; Treasurer, Yvonne Rasmussen. Elections will be next month. If there is anyone that would like to run for office please step up.
There was discussion about and reminder about the Fish Fry Bake Sale. Please bring your home baked goods to St. Tim’s Kitchen by 4:30 on Friday’s. (By the time you read this we will be having our first sale of the Lenten season)
We had a guest from Granny’s Closet (Wendy Dahlen) who explained what it was and how donations are used and distributed.
The meeting continued with prayer concerns and was closed with saying the Our Father.
Hope to see you next month
Sincerely
