Grand Knight’s Message
Why were you thankful? I asked many to respond to this, thank you to those who did.
Advent is here and we will be celebrating the birth of Christ. As this winter season brings cooler weather, remember that the warmth of the Holy Spirit is always with you. During advent we also promote “Keep Christ in Christmas” A way which reminds us that Christ was born on Christmas eve. I have a limited number of pins to promote this, see me if you want one.
As many of us become a “Giver” this time of the year to one another. What can we give to others and lift up their spirits this holiday season? Send your response to Jeremy Hadash at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your response will earn you 20 entries towards the $60 gift card.
Date Changes/Cancellations- 1) Our Rosaries prior to mass are CANCELLED unless 2 people come forward and are willing to do it prior to a 8:30am mass. 2) Major Degree we hosting is on Saturday February 23rd.
Our tentative council retreat is being postponed to later date TBA, as I work out the details with our spiritual advisor, Deacon Tom. Likely to be in January/Fenruary. Watch for flyer in next guidepost.
Thanks for all you did to host the refreshments at the Mass of Remembrance. A special thanks to Bev Bromen for chairing this project.
Our next meeting is December 12, 6:30 pm where we will adopt-a-family or 2 from St. Tim’s. Margo Arett and Bev Bromen will do the shopping. We will wrap gifts, so please bring wrapping supplies; and please bring a dessert or Christmas goodie to share.
Margo Arett needs your volunteer hours by December 12, so she can submit them to the State. You can get a copy of the worksheet from Margo or the State Web at http://www.auxiliary.mnknights.org/forms. Please email Margo at email@example.com, call her at (763) 757-4167, or bring the information to the December meeting.
There is NO meeting in January; and we WILL NOT be handling the Concertina Bowl Coat Check. Please consider volunteering at the Concertina Bowl as they can always use our help.
Casino Flyers are available for you to sign up. For only $10, you can catch the bus from St. Timothy’s kitchen parking lot and have a full day of F-U-N. Contact Jan Dols or Kristi LaValle with questions.
May you and your family have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Yours in Christ,
Jean Ackermann, President
