Grand Knight’s Message
Why did you Join? This can often be one the most effective tools in getting a new prospect to join the Knights of Columbus. I was asked to join the Knights by former member Garry Hallman one morning before breakfast. After talking with him and his willingness to take me to the degrees, gave me the impression that this an organization that wants to be there for others. This made me feel appreciated and today with the many changes going on and challenges we face; the Knights of Columbus is a great big family of people whom I enjoy being with.
As we Struggle to find new members, we need to work together and continue get creative with our programs, so we can appeal to new people. In addition, have those pocket tools handy to give when you see a new prospect that you think would make a great new member in either the Knights or Ladies Auxiliary.
Thanks to those who came to the potluck and brought a dish to share. A great time was had by all.
Let’s continue to pray for prosperous
Our council Christmas Party has been moved to Friday, December 14th.
A special welcome to the newest auxiliary members, especially Judy Knoll who joined us at the meeting. We look forward to our time together serving others.
Thanks to everyone who provided food for the potluck and those who cleaned up afterward. Thanks, too, to those who worked at the carnival. We had some beautiful weather for the carnival, and it appeared to be a big success.
Saturday, October 13 is the Ladies Workshop hosted by New Prague. We will have a few ladies representing #5141.
We will be providing refreshments for the St. Tim’s memorial mass on November 2. Please consider helping us serve light refreshments after Mass.
From the September meeting, the auxiliary voted to CANCEL the November meeting.
Prayer intentions are for all who are suffering from medical conditions and all those intentions thought, held in our hearts and not spoken.
Have a good month and God Bless.
Jean Ackermann, President

Your help is needed to help keep our council records current. Recently, attempts were made to contact members to help at the St. Tim’s carnival and it was discovered that we don’t have current phone numbers for a number of people. If you have changed phone numbers, dropped land lines over the past few years please contact the FS Gerald Arel. Also, please make sure we are aware of any address changes or any lengthy times you are not living at the address we have now.
