Grand Knights Message

The January 2 nd Sunday Breakfast went well. We had good crowds the first two masses and for some reason the crowd was down after the 11am mass. Many thanks to Al Loerzel who chaired this activity and everyone who helped.

The St. Tim’s Wild Game Feed was a combined effort by Knights from our Council, St. Tim’s Men’s Club, St. Tim’s Council of Women and one confirmation group. Some 294 people came through the food line. That was over 100 more than last year. Dan Otte and his family did a tremendous job on this activity. All proceeds go to St. Tim’s Outreach.

In closing February brings us the Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day and the start of our Lenten Fish Fries Friday the 24 th. God bless and have a good month.

Prayer Concerns

For Bob Hosford who is back in the hospital as of this printing due to low blood pressure and mixed up blood platelets. Every fourteen days he has one hour Chemo treatments.

For Bob Boeding’s sister who is very sick due to cancer in the thyroid, liver and kidneys.

For Doloris Yenor’s sister who passed away in early January.

For former member Mike Mikrut who has bladder cancer.

For Charry Lass, wife of Ken, who had hernia surgery and is now experiencing heart disease.

For Ray Peter who is still battling prostrate cancer.

For these and all friends and families we pray.

Ladies Auxiliary

I am writing this on behalf of Mary Hosford. She has been busy helping Bob. Please keep them in your prayers.

Our next activity is the concertina bowl on January 28 th. We are in charge of the coat check.

Our next meeting is on February 15 th. It will be our birth rite shower and pot luck. Bring a gift or gifts to the shower. Since it is our pot luck bring a dish to share as well. It will be held in room 128 of St. Tim’s parish center. The other thing to bring to the meeting is your volunteer hours sheet that Mary sent to you in the mail. Thank you.

On February 24 th the first Lenten fish fry will be held. We put on a bake sale during it. We are asking that you put together some baked goods for the sale. This is the only fundraiser we do this year. So your help is needed. There are seven fish fries during Lent. The last one will be held on April 7 th.

Nicollet Notes # 2

Do you know any member of the Fourth Degree? Have you seen the pride and demeanor exhibited when formally dressed in tux and regalia? You can join us in April this year, at the Minnesota Statewide Spring Exemplification in Bloomington. Nicollet assembly has nine monthly dinner meetings during the year, for Sir Knights and their Ladies. Attendance is voluntary, but strongly encouraged. The dinner meetings move to a different location within the Assembly area each month. Formalwear is required for the Exemplification, but business suites or business casual is more common at the Dinner Meetings. Do you see yourself in cape, chapeau, and sword in the Honor Guards? Talk to your Grand Knight or member of Nicollet Assembly. Step up and be identified! We want you with us in April.

 Fish Fries

Help!! Lent is just around the corner and our first Fish Fry will be February 24. This will be a warm up for Lent. This year we will need your help again. So, if you are able to help, we sure can find a spot for you; setting up Friday afternoons, during the Fish Fry and clean up. Anyone who can’t make it Fridays, help is also needed on Saturday mornings at 8am cleaning fryers and cleaning up the kitchen. Thank You and God Bless.
