Grand Knight’s Message
I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving.
After last month’s steak fry, Becky Booker from
the Spring Lake Park, Blaine, Mounds View fire
department gave a talk on fire hazards at home.
She will come to your home for a house safety
survey. This is a free service. She can be reached at
763-786-4436.
Our big council activity for December is the Senior
Christmas Party where we feed and entertain senior citizens from this area. This is a great family activity for new families in our council. You have an opportunity to assist the officers to put this event on also meet some of the council members. After entertainment, a visit from Santa is always most welcome by the seniors.
I would like to ask current members to help me recruit new members. The reason we recruit is not so we can pay dues, attend meetings and work projects, but so we can help those around us who are in need. We are Knights because it feels good to help others. If anyone needs help in recruiting, please call me or the membership chairman, Garry Hallman.
The November memorial mass was well attended
despite the first snow and ice storm this year on
November 16. Please remember Eileen Hyland
who left us within the past year. May we keep her
family in our prayers.
In closing, from Jan and me, we wish each one
of you a Blessed holiday season.

2 nd Sunday Breakfast
The next 2 nd Sunday breakfast will be held on December 11th in St Tim's Hospitality center. Shifts to work are 7:00 am to 10:30 am or 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Please call Dick Dols if you are interested in working one of these shifts. We had a good turn out at last month’s Egg Bake. Thanks to the people who helped. Anyone who has an interest in chairing a future breakfast, give me a call. The job consists of shopping, sometimes rounding up help, opening upin the morning and closing down the kitchen after the last mass.
Notes of Interest
The council has access to a wheelchair for anyone to use. Please call the Grand Knight for more information. The December 7th officers meeting is moved up one week to November 30th to bag candy and debone turkeys. We will start deboning at 6 pm and will order pizza for supper. Guidepost articles are due the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
