GUIDEPOST

Grand Knights Message

Greetings Knights and Ladies. The year end dinner was well attended and a great time. The food was excellent and the entertainment after the program was suburb. It was a great way to end the council year. This is the second month of the new council year. My goals for this council year are to grow in membership, get more members involved and have a good time at the social activities. As for membership, don’t be afraid to ask a Catholic gentleman to join our ranks. All of us were asked at one time or another. At most of our fundraisers, our members can serve our parish and community. When an article by a chairman of an activity is in the Guidepost, please call him with your support. It makes his job a lot easier. Volunteering is a great way of meeting fellow knights and families, which makes it easy to come to steak fries, golf outing, fishing trip, year end dinner and other social activities.

Yours in Christ.

Notes from Kevin

A grandpa wanted to read his hunting magazine, but was being bothered by his little granddaughter, Grace. She wanted to know what the United States looked like. Finally, after trying to explain how our country was shaped, grandpa tore a sheet our of his new magazine on which was printed the map of the USA. Tearing it into small pieces, grandpa gave it to Grace and said, "Go into the kitchen, use the big table, and see if you can put the pieces together. It's like a puzzle, when you get it all put together you'll see what it should look like.”

After a few minutes, Grace came back and grabbed grandpa's hand and pulled him up and took him into the kitchen and showed him the finished picture of our Country. "How did you do that so quickly? “asked grandpa" Grace said, "Oh, I found a picture of Jesus on the other side and when I put Him together, then our country just fell in place.”

In the name of Jesus, always....Deacon Kevin
