Grand Knights Message

Greetings Knights and Ladies. April brings us the last Fish Fry and 2 nd Sunday Breakfast. Luckly, the March the snowstorms have missed Friday nights, which is a blessing for our fish fries. One more fund raising activity, the Tootsie Roll Drive, will be the last two weekends in April. Let’s support these activities.

I will be calling Brother Knights to fill officers positions for the next council year. I have heard comments over the years concerning how the knights in our council are all old, retired, etc. This would be a good time for our younger members to step to the plate and assume some officer positions such as Chancellor, and Deputy Grand Knight. It is not that much work and quite rewarding to say the least. Have a Happy Easter.

Yours in Christ,

Dick Dols
Grand Knight

2 nd Sunday Breakfast

It will be a regular breakfast. The shifts are 7:00am- 10:30 am and 10:30 am to 2:00 pm. Please call me with a time you wish to work. This would be a good breakfast for non fish fry workers to help out. As this is the last breakfast, I would like to thank everyone who chaired and worked a breakfast this council year.

Nicollet Notes #4

So, you have been reading this series of notes about the Fourth Degree, and would like to learn more about who we are. Look around at your next Council meeting; we are your Brother Knights in the Third Degree. We are the Knights in formalwear, capes, chapeau’s, and swords at clergy installations, Stations of the Cross, and the passing of our fellow Fourth Degree members. We are the Parade Unit in your summer celebrations, and at installations of Council Officers. Not ready to be part of Honor Guards? Need to learn more? Then join us for monthly Dinner Meetings, with your spouse. Age is no barrier! We have Sir Knights in their 20’s; Sir Knights in their 90’s. We have one thing in common: Patriotism! Talk to your Grand Knight if you are interested in joining us.

Associate Chaplain Notes

D id you know that I, Kevin Jents, was initiated into the Knights of Columbus In 1960!!! Seems like yesterday. I remember it well. I learned a great lesson that day! Don’t be a follower. Ask questions. Things aren’t always what they seem. Keep both feet on the ground. Keep your eyes open all the time. As KC’s we look to Jesus for real answers and to the Blessed Mother to pray for us now and the hour of our death.

God Bless,

Deacon Kevin Jents
